Melee weapons encompass anything hand held, from a simple beer bottle to the lightsabers that were made famous by Jedi.

Lightsaber

Powered melee weapons
Most weapons falling under the "Powered" heading are Vibro weapons. They use a small power pack to make the blade (or tip etc) vibrate at a massive rate in a small dimension (usually a few microns) thereby increasing their damaging power.

penalty). If any attack roll while using the weapon missed by 10 or more points, the user inflicts damage on him or herself.
